Your Guide to Time in the Magnolia State
Whether you're coordinating with someone in Jackson, planning a trip to the Gulf Coast, or just curious, our Mississippi Time Tool has you covered. It's designed to be simple, beautiful, and precise.
How It Works
- The main display always shows the current, live time in Mississippi (Central Time).
- Use the toggle switch to instantly change all clocks between 12-hour and 24-hour formats.
- The panels below give you a quick comparison with your own local time and other major cities.
Mississippi's Time Zone
Mississippi is one of a few U.S. states that is split between two time zones, although only a very small, unpopulated piece of land falls into the Eastern Time Zone due to a bend in the Tennessee River. For all practical purposes, the entire state of Mississippi observes Central Time (CT).
It observes Central Daylight Time (CDT) during summer months and Central Standard Time (CST) during winter.
